Portsmouth Police charge 2 with threatening public officials

PORTSMOUTH — In separate incidents on Tuesday, Dec. 12, police charged two men with making threats to public officials.

The first took place around 5:30 p.m., when Antonio P. Vieira, 27, of 16 Deer Run Road, Bristol, was pulled over for a traffic violation around 5:30 p.m. on East Main Road at Clearview Avenue. Mr. Vieira was also charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) and vandalism with malicious injury to property, and was cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.

At 10:10 p.m., police arrested Thomas D. Ponsolle, 18, of 121 Carriage Drive, after responding to his home for a report of a domestic disturbance. He was also charged with domestic disorderly conduct and underage possession of alcohol, according to police.

Thursday, Dec. 7

Timothy M. Wengenroth, 28, of 1 Mill St., Tiverton, was charged on a bench warrant issued by 2nd District Court, after the vehicle he was in was stopped for a traffic violation at the Dunkin’ Dunuts on West Main Road at 9:30 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 8

Erica G. Medley, 61, of 300 West Main Road, was arrested at her home around 6:45 a.m. on a warrant charging her with domestic assault, police said. 

Kristal A. Riessle-Nix, 22, of 9 Perryville Road, Rehoboth, was arrested at the police station around 5:30 p.m. on a warrant charging her with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Akilah J. Nelson, 26, of 231 Maple Ave., Apt. 904, Newport, was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing an officer while in the execution of duty and domestic disorderly conduct. Police made the arrest after responding to Point Road around 8:20 p.m. for a report of a domestic assault/disturbance.

Sunday, Dec. 10

Lawrence N. Weldon III, 49, of 325 Broadway, Apt. 1, Newport, was arrested by Newport Police around 10:50 a.m. on a Portsmouth warrant charging him with an assault that allegedly took place on Friday.

Monday, Dec. 11

Kyle E. Emond, 41, of 2787 East Main Road, Apt. 1, was arrested on a warrant at his home around 12:30 p.m.

Nikole J. Amaral, 25, of 20 Chapel St., Apt. 76, Newport, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on a warrant charging her with assault.

Allison C. Cabrera, 18, of 2121 West Main Road, Apt. 801, was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct around 10:30 p.m. after police received a report of a domestic assault/disturbance at Bayview Apartments.
